Unique Locations for a Wedding in Dorset

Choosing a Description for a Wedding

I tried to give this blog post a title, it was nigh on impossible. How can I sum up a day which covered so many unique locations for a wedding in Dorset.  The day began in a stylish hotel went onward through to a family home then onto a castle followed by a spell on a beach and culminating in a garden. Tell me, how do I begin to give that a header that encapsulates the day!?

Getting Ready Bridal Preparation Photos

Yes, Dorset was a common denominator, Christchurch to be more precise and thats just a couple of unique locations for a wedding in Dorset, there are plenty more.

Jon and his brother and sons got ready at The Christchurch Harbour Hotel and had time to take full advantage of the riverside setting and the terrace and jetty for some group pictures. Letting the groom and his wedding party grow accustomed to time in front of the lens by letting them quickly have a glance at the results helping them to loose (almost) their inhibitions at this early stage of the day.

Our bride, Jo, was at home getting ready with the girls. Bright sunlight and one very fabulous garden just set things off perfectly. The atmosphere was buzzing.

Weddings at Highcliffe Castle Dorset

Whistle stop over to Highcliffe Castle for a very very happy wedding ceremony another one of those unique locations for a wedding in Dorset. Add some gracious guests, well behaved family pets and six siblings who were the most energetic and photo friendly bunch you could hope to meet and the highlights of the day are just building and building.

No time to waste, hop on a double decker and back over to the beach for drinks and singing, entertainment, ice creams, champagne and a paddle in the sea.

Wedding Reception at Home in the Garden

A slow amble up the road and back to the family home and everyone tumbled into the garden. An immaculate garden, beautifully tended and festooned with lights and bunting. Decorated to the hilt with lots of creative details. Drinks, sunshine, good food, music and friends a complete recipe for success.

The day ran faultlessly, smiles were wide and hospitality was generous and it was just one very lovely day that made you just smile for several days afterwards.

Congratulations Jo and Jon and what a couple of top class hosts you made, the most perfect wedding day. Box ticked!
